Introduction

Aloe emodin is an effective antibacterial component of rhubarb. The bacteria sensitive to it are Staphylococcus, streptococcus, Bacillus diphtheria, subtilis, anthrax, paratyphoid and dysentery, among which staphylococcus and streptococcus are the most sensitive.
