Introduction
Nattokinase is an enzyme derived from the traditional Japanese food natto, which is made from fermented soybeans. It helps break down fibrin (a protein involved in blood clot formation). As a result, nattokinase is often considered a natural alternative to traditional blood-thinning medications.
