Guar Gum, CAS 9000-30-0, is initially isolated from the endosperm of guar beans, available as white to yellowish-white, nearly odourless powder. Guar Gum poses similar thickening effect as Tara Gum and locust bean gum, as the active substances of all these gums are the galactomannans. Guar Gum is widely used as thickening agent, Emulsifier and as texture stabilizer in food and beverage. It is widely accepted as safe food additive in many countries with E number E412.
