Laccase A3
Cat. Number: FA-00363
Size: 5g, 10g, 25g, Custom size
Description
Laccase is a polyphenol oxidase containing four copper ions, belonging to cerulo blue oxidase, and exists in the form of monomeric glycoprotein. Laccase exists in mushrooms, fungi and plants, and can also survive in the air. The only product after the reaction is water, so it is essentially an environmentally friendly enzyme.

Handling Precaution
Laccase is a blue copper oxidase that reduces molecular oxygen to water. Laccase oxidizes polyphenols, methoxy-substituted phenols and diamines, but not tyrosine. Oxidation by laccase is an one-electron reaction that generates a free radical .
Handling Precaution
1 U corresponds to the amount of enzyme which converts 1 μmol catechol per minute at pH 6.0 and 25 °C
