Food Preservation Related Materials
Food preservation related materials are the ingredients involved in the development of food preservation packaging, coating and film. They are usually from natural sources, non-toxic and harmless, and some of them also have antioxidant, antibacterial and antiviral properties. Common food preservation packaging materials include: proteins, zein and egg albumin have been reported to be processed into edible films; Polysaccharides, including chitosan and starch, can be used to protect the components in food from oxidation; Lipids, mainly beeswax and stearic acid, can prevent food from shrinking and block oxygen and water. Aprofood provides various materials for developing different food preservation packaging, such as emulsifiers, lipids, polysaccharides, proteins, etc.
